But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of mine head.
There are many times in our lives when the weight of our burdens lowers our countenance.
We may feel low, heavy and ready to give up, but the writer reminds us that the Lord shields us during warfare. Whatever weapon formed against us, God's shield is there to protect us by receiving the strikes, the bullet or the sword first. Thank you Jesus for never letting us feel the true sting of the fight. Although we may get battle fatigued, you, O Lord, delivers us and no weapon formed against us truly prospers because YOUR love shields us and we only feel the vibrations. Therefore, when you are going through, remember what you are feeling is only a tremor of what it could have been if not for God on your side. Glory Be Unto God! Lift up your head knowing you are covered by God's knowledge of your situation. Give HIM praise for HIS divine glory keeps you saved by HIS shield!
